Australian technology company, Runnit, has launched an AI-native operations platform designed specifically for marketing teams and creative agencies, enabling them to automate planning, streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency - without sacrificing creative quality

While most AI adoption has focused on generating content, Runnit tackles the operational complexity that traditionally slows marketing teams down. Rather than acting as another standalone AI assistant, the platform uses an organisation's existing knowledge, including briefs, brand assets, workflows, project history, team capabilities and client information, to generate complete project plans, recommend resourcing and automate operational processes from a single creative brief.

Developed by Australian software engineer and Founder of Runnit, Mark Tolson, Runnit was built after observing how much valuable organisational knowledge inside agencies and marketing teams remains locked away in disconnected systems, documents and individual experience.

Tolson said:

"Marketing teams have embraced AI for content creation, but operationally most organisations are still working exactly as they did before."
"AI only becomes transformational when it understands the context of how your organisation actually works and that’s what Runnit was built to do."
"Instead of asking teams to start from scratch every time a project begins, we use the knowledge they already have to automate planning, improve resource allocation and remove much of the operational friction that gets in the way of creating great work."

Unlike traditional project management platforms, Runnit creates AI-generated project plans that account for team capability, capacity, project history, budgets and timelines in a single workflow. The platform also includes AI-powered dashboards, reporting, digital asset management and workflow automation, creating what Tolson describes as "an operating system for modern marketing teams."

Runnit has already been successfully integrated into businesses across Australia and New Zealand who are seeking to use AI as part of a broader transformation strategy.

Tolson continued:

“Runnit’s capability to understand the operational realities of running our client’s businesses has already resulted in significant monthly savings on licensing costs and internal administration time allowing teams to focus on strategic and creative work, rather than mundane admin tasks.”

Tanya Babić, Co-Founder of creative studio, Subversus said:

"Using Runnit made us realise just how much of our time was disappearing into planning, scheduling and so much of the production admin that quietly accumulates around every job."
“It’s has become like another member of the team, keeping track of schedules, chasing outstanding items and helping us prep for shoots. It lets us harness AI in a meaningful way, without having to juggle a dozen different tools ourselves.”

Tolson believes Runnit represents the next phase of AI adoption for marketing teams whether they are in-house or in an agency environment.

"We're entering a period where competitive advantage won't come from who has access to AI, because everyone will,"

he said.

"It will come from which organisations have embedded AI into the way work actually gets done. Marketing teams that can remove operational friction will deliver better work faster, improve profitability and create a better experience for both clients and staff. It’s transformation in action."
